TravelNet Technologies Offers Wireless Broadband Services for the Healthcare Market
"Developing value-added services that can enhance the care provided to our patients and visitors at the hospital is always a priority," said Mr. Joe de Mora, President and CEO of KGH. "The KGH Wi-Fi access through the DataValet service in some of the key public areas of the facility, is a valuable communication and productivity tool for our hospital population."
Wi-Fi access through DataValet at KGH can be used in a number of different practical ways, all serving to improve overall satisfaction and communications within the hospital. Visitors have a means of staying connected with work and being productive while spending time with patients. Visiting physicians on-call are able to easily access the Internet and hospital networks to stay connected to their office resources, e-mail and facility information. Patients spending extended periods of time in the outpatient clinics are able to communicate with friends and family via e-mail, as well as surf the Web to pass the time. Connecting to the service is as simple as opening your Internet browser. Should any technical inquiries arise, the hospital can rely on the DataValet's 24/7 help desk to respond. KGH is also taking advantage of the DataValet Web portal to distribute timely, customized information to the hospital population.
KGH can also leverage the advanced back-end provisioning features of DataValet to further customize and manage their Wi-Fi access. Initially, to drive service adoption, the hospital is offering the service for free.
